With BC having a “restart” plan, it’s time for Mothering Touch to plan our move back to in-person groups and classes.
Next week, Thursday June 17, we will start with in-person, outdoor Baby Groups! I will be SO happy to see all the parents and babies in-person again. But I will miss the parents up-island and on the mainland who joined our zoom baby groups throught the winter!
All Baby Groups will meet at Eberts Street Park, in Fairfield.
Older Babies (6-18 mos) and their parents are invited to come and meet on Thursdays from 10:30-noon.
New Babies (0-6 mos) and their parents are invited on Thursdays from 1-2:30pm.
We are hoping to move pre- and post-natal yoga classes in-person and outdoors too, in the next few weeks. But we are having a very hard time finding a yoga teacher. If you know of anyone who is qualified and interested, please send them along!!
Finally, we are starting to schedule some indoor, in-person Childbirth Preparation and Parenting the Newborn classes for September. We will still continue to offer on-line options, but we know people are longing to get back to the comfort and connection of in-person classes. Melissa, Pamela, Danielle and Corinne, our Childbirth Educators, are SO excited. One of them said she is sure she will cry when she stands in front of her first in-person class in 18 months!
We strongly recommend that those registering for in-person classes be fully vaccinated. Pregnant people are a vulnerable population. If you are not going to be fully vaccinated by the time the classes begin in September, please choose to attend one of our on-line options! Of course, we reserve the right to move the classes back on-line if the Provincial Health Officer does not approve the Restart Steps as quickly as expected. So please read your emails!
